importance of meditation in our daily life. Many of the people want to add
mediation as habit in their daily life in this way many people try it with
great interest in begging but later they find it hard and quit this practice (or
become irregular). I personally feel that biggest reason behind it can be that
we don’t do preparation for meditation.
So here are
some useful tips and preparations for mediation.
It is very
important to choose a peaceful and positive place for mediation. Try to find
non disturbing spot, proper ventilation, comfortable and firm surface.

most days of the week. Early morning is the best time for meditation because
the air is fresh and the mind is calm from sleeping. Other good time is night,
which is good for releasing the stress and relax the body before sleeping.
meditation posture is a very important element. Sitting postures are more
suitable for meditation practice than laying down posture. Lying down posture
is good for relaxation but meditation is not a relaxation practice. Meditation
is “a state of high alertness and focus”. But if someone has problem with
sitting on floor so chair can be used with thin comfortable cushion, place feet
on ground properly. Keeping the spine straight is very important, so don’t lean
back or front.
Mudras in meditation practices can enhance the experience of the meditation.
Two great mudras can be used in meditation are Gyan mudra (touch tip of thumb
and index finger) and Dhyana mudra (put right hand on left hand and touch the
meditation breath play a very important role. Hatha yoga pradipika states “As
breath fluctuate mind fluctuate too”. So it very important to keeping the
breath more relax and deeper. Before meditation breath practices are very
necessary. Nadi shodhana (alternative nostrils breathing) is the best pranayama
before the meditation.

meditation being comfortable is very important, so wear comfortable cloth for
with empty stomach is not good idea, so eat or drink if feel hungry and
thirsty. Then time for a while to digest it.
